Press Release (2/1/07): Food Lion Suspends All Purchase of Tuna from Mexican Dolphin-Deadly Brand
"Food Lion LLC, based in Salisbury, North Carolina, has agreed to immediately cease all purchases from Dolores Tuna, packed by PINSA of Mexico. The suspension was the result of documentation provided by Earth Island that the tuna is caught by the intentional chasing and capture of dolphins."

From BusinessWire. Far Ocean of Singapore is not an approved Earth Island Tuna Supplier. Far Ocean is not on the list of Earth Island Dolphin Safe tuna companies and has not signed a Dolphin Safe Tuna Policy.

Calvo, based in Spain, is one of the largest tuna fishing companies in Europe…

Press Release (6/1/05): Court of Appeals Unanimously Denies Intervention of Mexican and Venezuelan Tuna Industries  "...an important legal victory for dolphins in the US Court of Appeals. A three-judge panel unanimously turned down an attempt by the tuna industries of Mexico and Venezuela to intervene in the case on the side of the Bush Administration."
