Michael Reppy grew up in Oxnard, California. Learning to sail as a teenager,
he made several sails to the Channel Islands on an 18' Malibu Outrigger.

After owning various monohulls and multihulls, Michael made a quantum leap
in 1985, to a high performance 42' Shuttleworth Cruiser / Racer Trimaran
named "DAMIANA". She was an irresistable beauty built in England, so Michael
cruised her back to California to race in the 1987 Open Transpac (Los Angeles
to Hawaii) finishing 3rd in 9.5 days.

Bitten by the racing bug, he sailed her back to England
to race in the CSTAR (Carlsberg Singlehanded TransAtlantic Race) from Plymouth,
England to Newport Rhode Island, winning class III in 19.5 days.
Michael earned an under-graduate degree from Stanford University and
a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from University of Southern California.
He has worked as a Physical Therapist for the past 18 years. |
